The Ghost World of Oil Tankers

The Pavit was one of two oil tankers that washed up on Juhu beach in 2011. Authorities were paying to keep it there until the owners returned but they never did. The authorities and salvors claim for at least 1.6 million dollars to deal with the ship including clearing up pollution. By 2015 that money had still not been paid but we don't know if it has been paid since. Marine lawyer Kumar Subramanian: "We all need to be aware"
