As we get closer to race day, do you suggest that we also taper down the strength training? Is it very similar to when the miles start to decrease, or is it totally different? Jason Forsure: I'm a huge believer in periodizing weight lifting, just like we periodize our running. Pliometrics really help you express how strong and fast you are as quickly as you can. Really helpful for shorter distance specialists, but again, even for marathons.
