Glendale Firefighter John Orr

John Leonard Orr was a member of Glendale's Fire Prevention Unit. After serving in the Air Force, his dream was to join the Los Angeles Police Department. He failed the entrance exam and settled for a job as a department store security guard where he thrived at detecting shoplifters. By his early 30s, John had made a name for himself by catching residents who recklessly avoided their weed abatement responsibilities. His real passion seemed to lie with police work.
