The Battle of the US and Indonesia in the 1960s

From 1958 to 1964, they kind of are friendly with Sukarno while training and arming the US military in Kansas. But at that point, they got caught. This was kind of a Bay of Pigs moment in Asia. They really got caught with their pants down. There was nothing they could say or do to deny this. I mean, the guy was on TV being paraded by the Indonesian left. And so they switched tactics, especially with the arrival of John of Kennedy. Two things happen which caused the US foreign policy establishment to once again treat Indonesia as a target.
