Is Identity Politics Pandering?

Roxanne Jones: It seems pretty obvious that political policy and political strategy must be thought about with the consideration that different groups of people have different needs. And it is true like one of the things that Hassan brought up was how identity politics is kind of used by, you know, particularly the Democrats to pander. But even that being said, I would still say it's necessary to think about not just race but also gender and sexuality,. You know, gender and sexuality, all these other things and think about how we can deal with those issues on their own when it’s necessary to do so.
