Introduction

The article Self-efficacy in Learning by Hyun Sung-An and Mimi Bong was published in the Cambridge Handbook of Motivation and Learning as a chapter. It has been used successfully to explain and predict a variety of cognitive, affective and behavioral outcomes in diverse academic settings. Evidence has accumulated that unanimously points to the functional advantage of having strong self-efficacy beliefs. Basically it means self- efficacy is good for you and we should encourage it where we can.
