Bacon's View on Public Service

Francis Bacon came from a family dedicated to public service and Protestantism. He was an advocate of the king's powers and prerogative, but within a balanced constitution. We have seen his defence of the rights of ordinary people in his act of 1597. Francis clearly admired his mother and asked to be buried next to her when he died.
