Is the internet inevitably always going to be enemy producing meat grinder that our subjectivities are all process through today? Or is blaming tech missing the more decisive forces at work? I mean, if i would put it broadly, when the bad guys lost world war or when the bad guy won world war three, it was inevitable. The whole socialist calculation debate absolutely obliterated by the amount of computing power we have and the ability we have to communicate to each other instantaneously. And of course, the internet was developed by the state. There is no story of the birth of the internet that does not, at the end of the day, start with the government as prime mover.
