The Zionists Protested the Burek Wall

In 1940, and again 1911, the Jews were told that they had no legal rights to the wall. The British blamed these Zionists for turning a purely religious issue into one of politics and race. Arabs spread rumors that the Jews want to take over the Temple Mounts to build the Third Temple. They perceived increased Jewish involvement with the wall as a threat.
