More than 200 Indian cities don't monitor ozone at all. The rest only have one or two ozone monitoring stations, says Somvanchi. Ozone is a hyper-local pollutant because of the localized nature of the gas. A quick way to mitigate the problem would be to issue targeted local ozone alerts.
