Why Didn't You Speak Out During the Trump Administration?
Esper believes president trump didn't fire him at the time because it may have hurt mister trump's chances for re election. Esper did not vote for either joe byden or donald trump, but mailed in a ballot for another candidate. He and his staff could hardly believe they were still at the pentagon when he got word that the president planned to fire him.
