Aretha Franklin's 10 Save Me by Amy Mann
This one was written by Aretha Franklin, Carolyn Franklin, and King Curtis. This song sounds like it was written in about as much time as it took to record because it's really just the one riff over and over again with Aretha Franklin singing halfway improvised sounding lyrics. The whole thing ends after two minutes. So it never really does anything. It's pretty cliched riff. It's the textbook definition of an insubstantial song, but it's a testament to the talent of Aretha Franklin that I like it anyway. Despite the fact that it's the most transparently obvious throwaway song I've heard in a long time. There were 800 other songs on this album.
