The Flood Narrative
In the flood narrative, we see what becomes a common story. We see water as chaos and danger under the control of god. And we see the separation of water also by god, allowing life to thrive in the place in between. Oftentimes, when water shows up in the biblical witness, whether it's those two moments, or jesus baptism, there are these new moments that god is opening up for his people.
