The Importance of Visual Storytelling
CNN's John Sutter recently published a project that analyzed 2.8 congressional tweets to chart the increasing polarization and emotionalization of political rhetoric over time. He wants to talk about visual storytelling, which he says is an important way for journalists to get readers engaged in stories. The inspiration came from his visit to Vienna this summer where he met with scientists who were looking at things like misinformation on social media or psychological aspects of misinformation.
