Introduction
We should not be correcting our children in the interest of making our lives easier, although it almost most certainly will. Bestowing constant love on a child does not spoil them. It makes them rich. Giving so much to your children isn't healthy. You can hide your selfishness under a pretense of sacrifice. You can discipline and anger. You can demand much of your children but little of yourself. But there is something sobering about giving so much. When we give freely to our children, we are constantly raising the bar for them. The more we bestow, the more will be required. Our generosity in this way is not tender sentimentalism. We are talking about gold here,
