How to Judge a Player's Level of Game Understanding
The research was carried out at a TAC1 academy with the under first teams. Four coaches were asked to judge each player's levels of game understanding. The criteria included playing in a style that represents the identity of the club, using game plans and dealing with change. And we basically said to these four coaches, read the transcript, go through each one of those eight things and rank them based upon what you believe. But then it was a case of going okay, what do we do now? We've got the coaches scores. They were not coherent at all. What could we do to enhance the shared mental model of these coaches?
