The Unthinkable, the Awkwardness of Being in Someone's World
I don't remember how i had the idea exactly, but i don't think it was inspired necessarily by like, an actual personal experience of going to a thanksgiving. I believe, through the floor a big leap, creatively, and you have to have the kind of gumption and the willingness to stick with it. You have to be able to build a, you know, linguistically, a world that is believable and consistent to the reader. And i think wrote it just thinking it was like a funny idea. Yes, i guess, i guess that was probably like the subconscious, a rational behind it in some way.
