Lent gives us these practices to to do that are embodied and social. Thereis fasting, which is taking your body seriously, but not being overcome by the needs and desires a of your body. Then there's prayer, is certainly a spiritually directed practice, but it coul be also very social. And then there's also almsgiving, which is an economic, relational kind of practice, that generosity is spilling out. So we're given these things that help us to practise our faith, to kind of put or the defeat on our conversion. It seems like this whole podcast is about all these other sects.
