The rise of these tools really rocketed in the last year and a half, basically, since the rollout of iOS 14.5. And so Facebook now had this problem, which was that it's spend could not optimize as effectively as before because it was not getting the same level of conversion data. The idea of parsing out which ads are best performing then assigning budget there is rife with problems.
