Clay Is Not His Best Surface, but He's a Very Good Player on That Surface.

clay is not alkaraz's best surface, but on a given day he can upset any one. He has had plenty of time to distance himself from the elbow injury and change of string - that was also a new thing recently. The conditions suit him perfectly. But i don't know what's going to happen in his career. I think it's very possible that hardcourt, when it's all said and done, is where he has his best results. That's yet to be seen.
