The United Nations' Report on Forcibly Displaced People
The number of people forcibly displaced by conflict persecution or human rights violations grew to over a hundred and eight million in the last year. That number grew by 19 million in 2022 alone, driven in large part by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. About 35% of currently displaced people are classified as refugees or asylum seekers. This means one in every 74 people on this planet has had to leave their home.
