The Psychology of Defense in Depth

This week I've been looking at, well psychology really, and I was making the point that armies don't fight wars, nations fight wars. The idea of a kind of geographic framework of deep close and rear where you're putting your effort is now being thought of as more conceptual for battle in the mind. And when these cogs on the battlefield are speaking to the domestic audience, the enemy, the international call of public opinion will not appear anyway. They'll be bashing up the M4 team but it's going to take some time before they get their act together. So we talk about that for a little bit then I'll take that scaffolding as is happening in recent years.
