Sometimes we don't appreciate what we have until we lose it or we're threatened with a loss. We tend to enjoy a sensation more if we're sharing it with other people. The thing about the senses is like, you can't bookmark it. You can't save it for later. It's happening right here right now. And so there is something very special about the way the senses really are telling you, okay, it's happening right this minute.
