She joined the faculty in 19 67 as a visiting professor after spending some time at the m i t lincoln lab focusing on research. In 19 70, 68, she was offered a full professorship with tenure - which is so incredible to think about because that never happens. She also helped set up research programes in countries that were not traditionally, you know, focused on, let's say, carbon research. And then she spent a lot of time and put a lot of effort into kind of becoming a mentor and a support for young stemp students at amite at the time. Lessed to say people who had backronds are 'not as privileged' as they used to be
