The Importance of Alternate History

There's a point in history that I looked at actually for book four which I wanted to use but I'm not going to. It would change the history too much for what I'm doing with the book. The same people still win all the same battles and the same nations form. So I felt like I could have them win a day early with Waterloo. And so that that would have an impact going forward. Yes although I don't usually highlight those because then I have to then explain them.
