I was never the smartest in the room. I got a 980 on my SATs. My default mechanism was two things: Storytelling and humor. When I went into big meetings, I would beg that they didn't call on me because I didn't know what the hell anyone was talking about when they were talking about like the budgets and stuff. And if they did, I would deflect it with like, let me tell you guys what happened to me. Make them laugh and be like, okay, go to the next question, like get out and I would get out of it.
