In some ways, it's like a purely top down or you could call it a dictator type, pure top down model only leaves room for the athlete to fail. Whereas they bottom up, it prioritizes the athlete getting wins. And yeah, I mean, there's been good studies done on this issue. The group that felt like they were winning, the group that was told they were faster than they were, ended up running the fastest when they were actually timed in a normal time.
