What Is the Difference Between Pressure Waves and Sound?
There's a difference between the pressure waves that enter our ears and what we actually end up hearing. Pressure waves become electrical impulses, which are eventually interpreted as sound. Your ear can do this whole process thousands of times per second. All o these echoes bouncing around should theoretically make sounds really hard to locate in space.
