The day Catherine was born her mother received a telegram from her husband, who had sailed to the u.k. To enlist in WW2. He sent off a cable saying, congratulations on baby catherine. Do not christen ver. And sometimes you're called doctor spack's first baby. It seems to me, in reading about that, that your mother was educating doctor spack as much as he was advising her. So if i ask you to describe the spiritual background of your childhood on whatever connotations you bring to that language of spirituality, owwould you start to talk about that?
