The Importance of Stakes in Comedy
The stakes can be very low as long as it's surprising. The rules are a little bit different in comedy, actually. It's almost like it's almost like the punchline to the joke. Like when you and I work on stuff, like I feel so aware of like the machine of what is required for a stand up bit. Each pearl has to be so shiny. And that's the kind of like end on a really big pearl. Then you can run to the next bit.
