The King Bing affair was a case in which the governor general actually tried to not follow the wishes of the prime minister. The 2008 parogment when Stephen Harper looked like he probably would have lost a motion of confidence or vote of confidence in the House of Commons, led to him suspending Parliament for two months. "If that happens, that is going to provoke some sort of constitutional crisis," says Peter Bergen.
