Twitter's Code Reviews of Code

Twitter laid off fired or engineered the resignations of over 5,000 employees within less than two months. Musk turned to engineers from his other companies to conduct code reviews of code written by Twitter employees. The reviewers lacked the context to meaningfully evaluate the code and the reviews were completed in an amount of time that was clearly insufficient for any good faith approach. Many of those employees had received uniformly positive performance reviews prior to being fired.
