How Does Machine Learning Predict a Stock Price?

Machine learning can really only learn the patterns in historic data to predict what's going to happen in the future. It is actually quite complicated because there are some historic patterns that go into driving a stock price. If we had all of that data like the joke, we would be a quant fund and not building an ML platform for everybody.
