The North Pole of the Earth Is Next to the North Pole
The magnetic south pole of the earth is next to the north pole and vice versa. So if we all said north seeking and south seeking when we talked about magnets, it would be clearer. But we just shortened it. And i suppose that's where it seems like it just fell off at one point and began. The north ole had been named the north pole, and it's using the same word as the magnetic north pole.
