The Onus Is Always on the Black Woman to Get Along
"I have tended to notice that the majority of people who gravitate towards whiteness in a certain way are black men," she says. "The onus is always on the black woman to get along and it's never on the black man to fully set his white partner to make sure they're safe to be around other people." She adds: "For me, anyone who's uncomfortable interacting with whiteness in that way, especially romantically, if you don't have to, I get it".
