Ted Templeman and Don Ladd: A Renaissance Producer
Ted Templeman was "a renaissance producer to me," says Van Halen singer. Don Ladd did everything from play drums on some of the tracks to help come up with background parts, he just guitar parts. He was a real jack of all trades, even though he didn't really play any of those instruments,. But he knew what worked, you know, musical. And so, and Don was such an artistic and talented engineer.
