A small group of searchers and people with vested interest in this happening were pursuing creating software to progmatically reor the network. The game theory is you paying miners to build in your chain until you don't capture any value at all. Users are like, what is happening? My transactions aren't going forward. I mon stop using eath. In a long term, miners would make waig less money. And i hope that the people building this cone softwhere don't do it. Am, i think it's actually, yo're insane, and it would be insanely valued destructive if it were to happen, right?
For our latest episode, I sat down with MEV Senpai, one of the top searchers in Ethereum. He gave us the unique inside perspective of someone who finds and captures MEV himself. The result was a long & intense convo, one of the best I've had in a while.
We discussed:
- The structure and actors of the MEV game
- What is searching, how can you learn it, what edges exist
- Intro to private relays and transaction bundles
- The role of Flashbots in DEX trading
- and, of course, the hot topic of the day: short-term reorgs in Ethereum
Enjoy!
