Are There Differences Between Men and Women in Carbohydrate Intake?

There are some subtleties, but for the just the interest of not getting too nerdy on science, it's not that much different. It just has to do with body size and the amount of muscle mass in males versus females. If you're an ultra runner and you're running like 120 miles a week or, you know, crazy hours, you might need 10 grams per kilogram of body weight. So this is probably something where experimenting and training is a really valuable thing to do because it's going to teach you your tolerance level for a certain amount of carbohydrate.
