How to Write a True Crime Story

Richard Pleppler said you're not leaving the room until you make a deal with HBO so I got a call saying hey I guess we're gonna go forward. We started throwing a few ideas around what would be right area like if you want to do a branching narrative story, where should we start? He had wanted to do a kind of true crime based sort of thing because he loves watching true crime stories on TV and stuff. So by the end of that year when we both realized okay this is going to be happening we met and we kind of blended the the true crime in factI remember what happened was I had thought I'm going to be working on this more crime and punishment story
