How to Save Your Mother and Sisters From the Texas Raid
I chose to use a lot of pseudonyms in my book because I was trying to protect the people that I loved the most. Most of them were still believers of the FLDS, but I still cared about them. My decision to change their names in the book was in essence, try and protect them except for my mother. It was me leaving breadcrumbs along the way to hopefully be able to ultimately save them or even to have contact with them.
