Are You Sympathetic to the Catholic Reading of John Sex?
Stephenyev: Can you at least sort of sympathize where catholics are coming from, even if at the end of it you think we're ultimately wrong? I will say this, i can see why a person reading the statement of christ in john six would come to think that maybe he really does believe we should eat his body and blood. But i do not think that a close reading of john six supports that conclusion.
