It's an application of hegel to say that there's this inevitable translition from feudalism to capitalism to communism. The thesis and antithesis has to do with tensions between social relations, in class structure, and then the underlying economic and technological development. So when technology reaches a certain point, feudalism is a social arrangement, doesn't make any sense any more. And inevitably the synthesis be s capitalism, let's say, that sort of determinism. It's not completely implausible. I'm not saying i believe in it, but i'm not saying it's completely implausible'
