The Community at Charlestown, and the Descendants of Other Communities in the Global South

The community at charlestown, to day, or at least this was in 20 17, has developed networks with two scholars who are stateside here. In june of every year, they invite, from institutions around the globe, scholars to come in to present their work on maroon histories and perspectives. This was one of the real formative experiences put on a a tree burning celebration or ceremony. And it occurred to me very quickly that my work doesn't really matter as much as doing everything that i can to amplify knowledge of this town,. is the actual mission, is the actual point.
