Did You Want to Be a Footballer?
I wanted to be a footballer when I was growing up, but cricket took over. When you were in primary school your teacher gave you extra cards with sums on them. You and someone called Paul Flynn would do these sums for the class of five or six year olds. And so we'd clearly done this and we were on to the special cards. So I don't remember having it as a thinking, I want to do numbers. It's a real young step, but I clearly had some ability because I do remember getting these cards to do.
