HMR Consultants: A Career in Energy and Infrastructure

On this episode of Everything About Hydrogen, we are speaking with Nashwa Al Rawahy, Director of HMR Environmental Consultants, based in Muscat, Oman with regional offices in the United Arab Emirates.

For over 30 years, HMR has been a leading provider of environmental, engineering, and technology consulting services across diverse industries to help their clients identify, analyze, and optimize environmental and social impacts. 

Nashwa worked on the first Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for hydrogen in Oman, and explains the government strategy for hydrogen projects. 

HMR uses different international standards depending on the industry but for the Special Economic Zone At Duqm (SEZAD), where new hydrogen projects are currently being allocated land, IFC standards have been followed, including the central service corridor, and the first seawater intake and outfall.
