The ECT treatments, unfortunately are another thing that is extremely helpful in the right cases. When things get irresponsibly represented, it causes damage and causes people not to want to seek potentially viable avenues of treatment. It's these treatments have people have understandably come to massively distrust them. And so when people do need them, they feel this inclined because of that. They don't understand quite what it is. And hopefully they find a clinician that they that they trust who can help them trust it.
