The Importance of BMI Cut Offs in Kidney Transplants

Dr. T.M. True: Age cut off seem to be center dependent. We prefer a BMI of 35 or less because there is some data that shows that the wound complications are higher, particularly in for diabetics. When a kidney doesn't work right away, we call that delayed graph function. So they're more likely to have what we call "delayed graph function," which can reduce the life of the transplant out of the road.
