Zombes are a real phenomenon. There are people in haiti who are considered zombis, and some of them consider themselves zombes. The question is, what explains this sociological phenomenon? On that question, i think there is likely more than one explanation that contributes to it. In some cases, it includes factors like mental illness and disabilities, premature burial, mistaken identity, hoaxing or fraud.
