New York City Charter Schools - The Great Equalizer
There are about a hundred 80 thousand students in new york city charter schools. Forty nine % of them are black, 40% spanic, 80 percent economicall disadvantage. These are schools that dramatically out perform their traditional counterparts. In an hundred, 80 day school year, students in charter schools get the equivalent of 23 extra days of reading and 63 days extra math. And to me, this is the left wing equivalent of a climate change denial.
