I think cross-dressing, it has been a pejorative term, but it is a descriptive term. It describes the sort of conception of a man picking on a woman's appearance. Flip Wilson was the first African American comedian performer to have his own variety show that was a hit. He would do this character named Geraldine Jones who had a boyfriend named Killer and she never stopped flirting with every man from Bill Cosby to Bing Crosby. She wore poochy print dresses, she had great gams, she was kind of the person who influenced RuPaul in many ways.
